Public Schools

Elk Grove boasts a single large school administrative district, the Elk Grove Unified School District, which boasts many of Sacramento County's finest school public schools. District offices are located at 9510 Elk Grove-Florin Road, Elk Grove, CA 95624. See Map. They can be reached by phone at 916-686-5085. The district maintains a boundary hotline that you can call to see which school your child will attend for a given property address: 916-686-7755.

Private Schools

Private Schools include the Elk Grove Montessori School (916-685-6540), St. Peter's Lutheran School (916-689-3050), St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (916-684-7903), California Montessori Project (916-714-9699), and Golden Valley Academy (916-685-2642).

Colleges

Though technically in Sacramento, Cosumnes River College is very close to Elk Grove. It offers Associates of Arts degrees and credits that can transfer to four-year universities. Nearby four year institutions include California State University, (CSU), in Sacramento and the UC Davis.
